History

Formed in 1959, Good Hope School Choir has for many years won top prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, including The Best Girls’ Choir and The Most Outstanding choir of the Year.  The Choir has also been active in the participation of various activities including the Service for the Opening of the Legal Year, caroling programs, Good Hope School’s Annual New Year Concerts and Annual Music camp.  During these events, the Choir has the opportunity to sing under the batons of various local and international well known musicians.

Over the years, the Choir has also made many overseas tours and helped build the international reputation of Good Hope School Choir and Hong Kong musician through participation in the Pan Pacific Music Camp in Australia, the Pacific Basin Music Choral Competition in Hawaii, the World Youth Day in the Philippines, the Joliette Music Festival in Canada, the Bela Bartok International Choir Competition in Hungary, the Youth Music Festival Girls’ Choir Category in Vienna, to name a few.
